This March 541 Art space is collaborating with Art Month Sydney to present the exhibition Clay Date. This exhibition will explore the ceramic practice that has emerged in Sydney, the diverse and experimental approaches of artists and the renewed contemporary interest in the ancient art form of ceramics.
Art Month Sydney is a not for profit city-wide festival, produced by the Australian Art Events Foundation, that celebrates contemporary arts through a rich and diverse set of programs.
Clay Date features the artists working in the Glebe ‘kill.n.it’ studios, a not for profit creative space, that provides studios and classes for the avant-garde exploration of ceramic arts. The artists involved include Mechelle Bounpraseuth, Angela Butler, Jan Downes, Scott Duncan, David Helmers, Caitlyn Hurley, Vivienne Hill, Rachael McCallum, and Luke O’Connor, Madeleine Preston.
